fix / repair 의 차이, 뜻도 알아야 하지만 쓰는 방법도 중요하다.

- Fix: 고치다. 일반적으로 쓰임, 사람과의 관계에도 쓸 수 있다.

e.g. He is so angry with me that I need to fix it.

- Repair: 기계가 동작하지 않을 때 고침

 e.g. The technician is repairing TV.

 

사용법

s/o fix s/t의 구조로 쓰게 되면 s/o이 s/t을 고치는 것

I fixed my cellphone. 이라고 하면 

내가 핸드폰을 직접 고친 것이 된다.

 

수리를 맡겨서 고친거라면,

I got my cellphone fixed.

I had my cellphone fixed. 의 형태로 써야한다.

 

충치치료를 받았어	I got my cavity filled.
나 머리 잘랐어.	I got my hair cut.
나 머리 염색했어.	I got my hair dyed.
나 머리 파마했어.	I got my hair permed. / I got a perm.
나 머리 클리닉했어.
나 머리 짧게 잘랐어.	I got my hair short.
방을 다른 색으로 칠해달라고 했어.	I told him to paint the room another color.
방을 다른 색으로 칠하는게 나을 것 같지 않아?	Don't you think we should get the room painted another color?
나 머리 갈색으로 염색했어.	I got my hair dyed brown.
